Salonica Capital has advised Get Skills Employment & Training Limited (‘Get Set UK’) on its full buyout of TheLightBulb Ltd (‘TLB’), an Independent Training Provider specialising in Apprenticeships and Adult Education across Essex and the East of England.
The deal reinforces Get Set UK’s strategic ambition of being the foremost provider of employability skills training to job seekers and a reliable partner to the Department for Work and Pensions and Department of Education. TLB has delivered multi-million pound contracts for the government and other agencies since its inception in 2003.
Salonica prides itself on unlocking value in deals, particularly in the SME space, where entrepreneurs and business owners seldom receive the right quality of advice.
Kristine Chong, who led the deal at Salonica commented, “This is an exciting investment and feeds into Get Set UK’s growth strategy. We are confident this is a very positive first step to broader nationwide expansion.”
Thomas Harley, CEO of Get Set UK, commented, “TLB complements our already established employment services division and provides the vehicle to expand our services into new geographies as well as enabling us to deliver a more comprehensive suite of services to employers, our learners, and participants. We are confident we are now well-positioned to take advantage of the commissioning landscape that is looking to join up skills and employment. We also get to onboard 35 fantastic new employees into the Get Set UK group.”
